OCSC Special Activities offers a wide range of special interest groups that meet in addition to our monthly socials. Book Club – Discuss the hot topics of today’s bestselling authors or the timeless intrigue of yesterday’s classics.

Bowling Club – Join us for bowling at Eifel Lanes. No skills required. Just come to have fun! Children welcome.

Bunco – Dust off your dice and put your game face on! If you are new to the game, we would love to show you the ropes.

Christmas Decorating – Each December volunteers from the OCSC help to plan and organize the holiday decorating of the Spangdahlem Club.

Dinning In Committee – Once a year the spouses plan and attend a basewide dinning in. The planning committee is chaired by a member of OCSC every other year. Volunteer your time to help make this event a memorable one.

Holiday Dorm Baskets – Each December the OCSC organizes 1,000 baskets of goodies for the dorm residents. Thousands of homemade goodies are donated for the goodie baskets. Volunteers are needed to bake goods, help bag the goodies and for delivery.

German American Women’s Club (GAWC) – Make lasting friendships and visit local sites with our German neighbors. To join the GAWC mailing list and receive the GAWC monthly newsletter via email, send an email to GAWCBitburg-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.

Golf Club – Come enjoy the beautiful German weather out on the green. All skill levels are welcome.

Operation Open Arms – Operation Open Arms thanks our servicemen and women heading downrange or returning home by handing out goodie bags at the Spangdahlem passenger terminal.

Photography Club – Learn to take better shots of this beautiful region. We meet monthly while kids are in school and caravan about 1 to 1 1/2 hours away to a scenic area. We will take photos together and enjoy lunch, learning from each other as we try to get the best shots. No previous photo experience required. All photographic mediums welcome.

Scrapbooking and Stamping Club– This is a great way to organize your precious memories and chat with your friends.

Sew Much Comfort – This group creates adaptive clothing for wounded soldiers. Some sewing skill required; however, there are many ways to get involved for non-sewers as well. This is a great way of letting wounded soldiers know that you care.
